Katsina State Government Cracks Down on Illegal Mining

In a resolute move, the Katsina State Government has underscored its commitment to halt any unauthorized mining of the state's valuable resources.
Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe conveyed this determination while leading members of the Katsina State Committee on Mining Activities to investigate reports of illegal gold mining in Rafin Gora village, situated in the Tandama area of Danja Local Government.
The Deputy Governor revealed that the committee had previously summoned the miners in the area, but they declined to cooperate with the committee's inquiries.
Emphasizing the government's stance, he declared that the current administration would not tolerate the unlawful exploitation of the state's resources by unpatriotic individuals.
Moreover, he affirmed that those found culpable would face legal consequences in accordance with the law.
